United Youth Council
Mission
To learn and teach others by example the need of volunteerism and community involvement.
The youth of today will be the leaders of tomorrow. United Youth Council
is a student-led program of the United Way of Cass County. Members include
Caston, Lewis Cass, Pioneer and Logansport Schools. United Youth creates
an effective collaboration between schools and community organizations
through service projects and fundraising events. The United Youth President
is a voting and contributing member of the United Way Board of Directors.
Goals
- To expose youth to community problem solving, total volunteerism & human issues affecting our community
- To develop valuable work experience, leadership skills and budgeting skills
- Build positive self-esteem by helping others
- Make new friends and meet community leaders
- Explore career opportunities
- Leave a tangible mark in the community
- Have ownership in the community

When: Last Wednesday of each month
