Indiana Health Centers receives $104,158 capital project grant to renovate their Logansport facility, improving privacy and patient care

Cass County, IN – Indiana Health Centers - Logansport (IHC) and United Way of Cass County are excited to announce that Indiana Health Centers has received a $104,158 matching capital grant from Indiana United Ways in support of a facility upgrade at Indiana Health Centers’ Logansport location (1700 Dividend Drive). Once complete, Indiana Health Centers can better utilize space currently being used as a large, open waiting room. After dividing the room into new private consultation and treatment areas within the facility, Indiana Health Centers will offer enhanced patient confidentiality and care alongside referrals to other needed services.

Funding for this project was made possible due to United Way of Cass County’s membership in Indiana United Ways, the state membership association for local United Ways serving Indiana counties.

“We recommended this project to the Indiana United Ways Statewide Capital Projects Committee because of Indiana Health Centers’ commitment to providing quality care and reducing barriers to accessing healthcare,” said Chris Armstrong, Executive Director of United Way of Cass County. “This grant from Indiana United Ways enables IHC to close a critical gap in funding,” added Armstrong. “IHC’s work is strongly aligned with our commitment to fostering a Healthy Community, and we’re very excited for them to receive this funding.”

“At Indiana Health Centers, we are committed to creating spaces where patients feel respected, safe, and supported in their healthcare journey. This grant allows us to transform our Logansport facility to better protect patient experience and provide welcoming areas for consultation and care,” said Ann Lundy, CEO of Indiana Health Centers. “With this investment, we will serve thousands of Cass County residents each year in an environment that reflects the dignity and quality they deserve.”

IHC Leadership is finalizing plans and preparations for the project, including operational adjustments to limit disruptions to patient care. Once renovation begins, the project is estimated to take 8-12 weeks.

“The completed design will include a private office for enhanced patient privacy, a medication room for a more efficient workflow, and improved aesthetics from the waiting room. We are grateful for the United Way’s support and collaboration not only throughout this project but also to provide support to the community,” said Melissa Robertson, IHC’s Director of Operations – Central Region.
